Business Interview
Permalink Closed

Hello Everybody

I am a relatively new business. I have got my own personal clients who are sole traders, and personal friends.

I have recently set up my website (www.q-b-e.co.uk), and a local company has found my website and enquired if I would be available to offer my services to them. All good news.

They have invited me to an "interview" as such next week.

My question is what am I to expect?

Do I need to take anything with me?

My partner tells me it wont be like an interview, they have contacted me. They want my services.

Just a bit nervous, and don't know what to expect.

Cheers

Rob

It's not an interview, it's a chat about how great you are, and how much better their lives will be once you're in them. Be confident (even if you're not), don't waffle, explain what you do and how much it costs. If you believe in you so will they!

Hi Rob,

They want to know what you can do for them and how much it will cost.

It will be up to you to sell yourself. If you go in with bags of enthusiasm, interest and commitment, you will be half way there.

Incidentally, interest is very important. It will be worthwhile finding out about the business in advance. Pay attention to their business. Ask them about it - and listen. Flattery, without being overbearing, can work well.

Good luck with the meeting and the new business.
