Hi Sue,

as I've written to Frauke.

use this link.

http://www.book-keepers.org.uk/forum.spark?aBID=106474&p=35

bookmark it then set it up as a quick link on the toolbar

It refreshes the recent posts page each time.

Just means clicking your toolbar rather than the sites to access recent posts.

All the best,

Shaun. x.

p.s. Frauke didn't get a kiss!

Here's some advice from Shaun on another thread

>>>>>>>>>
I think that without that facility the usefulnes of the site is severly compromised. Fingers crossed this is just an short term glitch.

In the short term however, I've found a workaround in order to continue using the site.

I've been through my history and found a way to get recent posts up.

you need to cut and paste this link :

http://www.book-keepers.org.uk/forum.spark?aBID=106474&p=35

Unfortunately it means that you keep having to refresh to that page rather than there being anything available on the site so I've set it up as a quicklink on my toolbar and I hit that everytime that I want to refresh the page.

Hope that helps until site admin can get this sorted.

All the best,

Shaun.

Hi All

Please accept our apologises for this. We're currently performing some testing for the amendments next week and for some reason it keeps resetting the menu configuration. We will get a fix for this issue.

However we can confirm the recent posts button is now back.

Kind regards,

The Book-keepers Forum Support Team

Thanks Shaun (especially for the kiss!) I did try it but didn't really know how to do it (!) Never mind - all back to normal.

Have a great bank holiday weekend - if you're not working or revising. I intend doing absolutely sweet FA for a change but we'll see!

ps - xx

Unfortunately it's revising for me.

I've now completed reading all of the study texts (which, at 2400 pages puts me on an average of around 50 pages a day so quite pleased with that) and have now gone onto past exam papers.

Finding that the stuff that I studied first I can remember but the stuff that I've only just finished studying I can't answer at all.... How does that work then? Must have a brain that when it hits capacity it just pours all adition information straight out of my ears.... Or alternatively it might just be that I did the subjects that I liked first and just can't be bothered remembering the stuff that I kept putting off until I couldn't put it off any longer. (hedge funds, derivatives, group cashflows, etc... Think I already know which subjects will come up in the actual exam!!!!).

Hope that you have a great weekend hun. I'm going to try (don't know how successful I'll be) to avoid logging onto this site for a couple of days so might be able to get a bit more study done than I have today!

Have fun, talk soon,

Shaun.
