HI everyone, I am new in the bookkeeping world so I am quite confused with some things so please if you can help me.
Recently I read some of the topics here and I understood that employers usually prefer AAT qualifications rather than IAB for example ? Do you know why ?
Yesterday I enquired at a College about a course AAT Level 3. I have been told that first I have to do AAT L2 , I told them that I have already studied most of the things they do at AAT L2 but I did IAB L1&2. The lady told me that thats different , that AAT its a profesional qualification , so that means that IAB its not ? I am still waiting for an answer from her .
I suppose that now if I started with IAB I should continue with it,but I am very worried that maybie IAB wont be reconised when I will look for a job . So I am thinking that maybie I should switch to AAT tho that will mean spending more money on something I have studied already or at least most of it .
I am very dissapointed because when I started the course with IAB I didnt know there are other profesional bodies , and AAT seems the most reconised and appreciated, if I knew I would have gone with it .
Please refer to the response to your other thread.
