Good day

I need advice on become a bookkeeper.

I am currently studying my bcompt degree part time and just completed the first year, should I join the ICB?

 

I want to start my own small bookkeeping company.

Hi Sabrina

If you want to run your own bookkeeping business I'd look at the ICB, IAB or AAT.

As mentioned yesterday in another thread (I think by Jan), I know the IAB leads on to higher level accounting qualifications including the IFA. When you get your degree you may get some exemptions as well.

Sabrina is in South Africa, where the ICB is the South African Arm of the IAB.

- Sabrina you need to talk to people in South Africa, not the UK for advice.
