Transferring Sage Software
Permalink Closed

Hi All

I was wondering if someone could help me please? One of my clients has an older version of Sage on an equally older PC and would like to transfer the software onto a new Laptop.

Apparantly when she tries to do this it recognises that the licence has been used on another machine and won't let her do it, surely there is a way around this?

Your help would be most welcome.

Kind Regards

Teresa

Hi Teresa,

Have a look at this link and see if it is any help.

http://www.sageforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=13696&highlight=activation+key

If this isn't what you are experiencing then this may be the forum to ask about your particular problem.  I had a similar problem a few years ago when wanting to re-install after a rebuild, but can't for the life of me remember how I solved it! Think I had to ring Sage for a new activation code.

Thanks for your advice, Pauline, much appreciated.

Unfortunately I can't view your link as it takes me to a Sage Forum and I don't have a login there but I will advise my client to contact Sage and maybe ask for a new activation code.

Thanks again

Teresa

Hi Teresa,

I am sorry about the link....I didn't think that it wouldn't go straight to the page. Basically they were having the same problem as you and were advised to ring Sage, as Attila says and ask for a new activation code.
