TaxCalc Corporation Tax Rate Error
Permalink Closed

Afternoon all,

I use TaxCalc to produce Personal and Corporation Tax Returns and have a query relating to the small companies rate of 20%.

When I completed a simple Limited Companies CT600 the software stated that as there was no tax due, the tax rate shown on the return has to be 28% due to a HMRC filing error.

Has anybody come across this too, as it seems a bit weird??

Ben

Yeah, the HMRC on-line CT filing doesn't support the small companies rate at the moment. They've promised to have a patch to fix this by the end of July. We'll see!

I've just moved to TaxCalc and found them very helpful compared to my previous supplier.   Might be worth contacting them but as already mentioned, there is a problem detailed on the issues link which can be accessed via the HMRC homepage.
