I haven't done any book-keeping for about 3 years and am about to launch back into it.  I was working for a pub/restaurant and worked on sage and will be doing so for a friend's pub/restaurant again soon.

And will also be doing payroll soon too - eeek!

I really need to brush up on my skills and knowledge of sage again!  hints and tips welcome

Hi Kate,

welcome to the forum.

I always find that the best way to get back into something that you haven't used for a while is to do something relatively straight forwards with it.

One suggestion, is to do an old mock level II computerised to get you back into the saddle so to speak.

see here for the downloads page in their shop (costs £5) :

http://www.bookkeepers.org.uk/Shop/Category/Past_Paper_Downloads

Don't forget to save the paper to your computer as the link expires after 10 days.

I have a similar approach with doing the AAT revision companion for units 1-4 once a year just to ensure that I don't forget any of the nuts and bolts (I'm not AAT I'm ACCA but I find the AAT revision good practice).

all the best,

Shaun.
