Problem viewing statement history in HMRC online services
Permalink Closed

I'm having a problem viewing a clients statement of account in the HMRC agent online services area. When I try to download or view a statement it simply stops and I get a blank screen.

I'm sure I've been able to do this previously so I'm not sure why this isn't working now?

Can anyone please help?

Dustin

Hi Dustin

I had this same problem a few months back. If you use Internet Explorer you can fix the problem by going to Tools, Internet Options then clicking the Advanced tab. Then in settings under security tick the box - Do not save encrypted pages to disk.

This should fix the issue.

Or you could use Firefox instead. I also noticed on IE that P60's do not display on an earlier version, not sure if it has been fixed as I trust Firefox for all web work.

I have this problem with SA tax returns. If I select the colour version, a new window opens but all I get is a blank screen.

There is no problem with the black and white version.

Thought Stuart may have resolved my problem but unfortunately, it did not work. I am using IE9 but it never worked in any other version either

Hi Bill,

that sounds like a plugin problem.

Redownload the latest version of Abode Acrobat (mines 10.0.1.434 but I think that one's specific to Firefox and Netscape).

If IE isn't playing the game might well be worth moving to firefox. Like David I regard it as a far superior browser to IE. Also you can import all of your IE settings when you set firefox up and just because you have firefox doesn't mean that you can't use IE as well.

One other thing that could cause issues although is unlikely is that you simply ran out of RAM (video or main). The fact it happened on the colour rather than B&W version may support that idea but as I say, that one's a long shot.

Hope that this helps,

Shaun.

Hi Shaun

Bin there, done that, as they say. What I haven't tried is Firefox. Might experiment on the morrow smile

Just an update

Tried Firefox on HMRC website to view a colour version of SA tax return, and it was successful   thumbsup.gif  smile

May take a bit of getting used to though

Just to agree here, IE and HMRC do not work well together. I've been using Google Chrome which seems to be problem free also.
