Debt figures for a stat demand.
Permalink Closed

Hi, anyone still up?

Just a quickie, I have been asked to complete a statutory demand - an offical request for payment from a debtor who is well overdue a lot of money - and I'm not sure what to include for amount owing.

The debtors figure in last years accounts is £5k -  £7k, less £2k provision.

I'm inclined to say that the debtor is £7k as it is ony a provision not a write off.

Anyone know for sure?

It would be £7k, but there is also likely to be interest and late payment charges to add to that if not already done.

Payontime.co.uk is a useful resource for calculations.
