hi all,

i've set up the books for my partner, i've done this manually in books rather than computerised, and i've made a mistake.

my mistake is that i didnt enter an account. ok this isnt making sense, in the journal i entered the accounts with a pre opening balance, then transferred those amounts into actual accounts, all good all balanced, then i realised that i'd missed out entering a pre opening balance in the journal, which then means that the cash/bank account is wrong too. how can i rectify this? any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.

thanks bubear

Hi Bubear

Are you saying that you have just not entered the opening balance for your Bank / Cash account  when you did your journal

hi nautica,
i have entered the opening balance for the bank / cash account but its wrong, the account that i didnt enter was the paypal account,
basically he has some money in pp, but i didnt enter it in the books, which means that the bank/cash account is wrong.
my mistake was forgetting about the money in pp, and just entered the amount he has in cash, which is wrong as the difference is actually in the pp.
do you know how i can rectify this?
thanks bubear
