I have recently gained level 1 & 2 manual and computerised book keeping qualifications, and now I am thinking of starting up a business on my own. Can someone please advice how I can market myself - apart from word of mouth. I am not particularly good at 'persuading people' or a good 'salesman', which I think would effect my businees quite a lot in terms of gaining new clients!
Also in the long run, when the business is all set up amd running smoothly (hopefully), I am planning to pass it on to my wife. However, she does not have any formal qualifications in book keeping. In this case, would it be sufficient if I pass on the knowledge which I gained while completing my level 1 & 2, or would she have to get qualifications herself?
Finally, this may sound like a silly question to you, but what services could I ideally offer to potential clients with the qualifications that I have gained?
Have a look through the posts on this website, this kind of question gets asked quite regularly. You will hopefully get lots of ideas as to what works and what doesn't.
