UTR for my new company - help
Permalink Closed

I have registered my company with Companies House, sent back the CT41G for the Corporation Tax and now have a huge job coming up which will need to be invoicing Contractors for the employment of Sub-Contractors - we're basically the middle men supplying the labour only.

I have to send of the CIS form with all the UTR numbers etc for the Directors but haven't heard anything - is there a number that I can call to find out the Companies UTR in order to send this form off.

Why does every form sending to the HMRC take so long to come back??!! Because it will probably be another 6 weeks before I get the confirmation of this back as well

Plus we can't invoice the contractors without this Corporation Tax reference.

Don't know if it is of any use (you may have already tried it) but the number below is the HMRC CIS helpline number. They may be able to help and advise if you explain the situation to them.

Edit : Quote "Why does every form sending to the HMRC take so long to come back??!! "

Welcome to the world of HMRC, although I believe they are currently reviewing their processes to improve the situation.

Company UTR is on CT41G. I assume you took a copy when you sent it off?
