Quick question is there VAT on skip hire. There is nothing on the invoice stating this but the company is registered for VAT.

Yes.

EDIT : Usually when a question like this is asked there is a full explanation in the answer. Unfortunately I can't think of anything else to say other than - yes, there is VAT charged on skip hire.

Hi Kay, quite often the Vat breakdown is not given on skip hire invoices.   As long as it has a date and VAT No. on then it is safe to calculate and claim VAT.

Off the top of my head I can't think of a reason why anything other than the standard rate would be charged.
