Why is Sage so expensive?

Sage Instant needs to be registered with however the client is.

Pay a little more and a bookkeeper can get something that does multiples.

Does anyone know whether or not Sloar Accounts do the same, ask for  the names of the clients that are on the disc.

Hi Alfred,

we had a long discussion about this in this thread :

http://www.book-keepers.org.uk/t43689388/convince-me-that-i-dont-need-sage/

Quickbooks and VT are both multiclient. Personally I have no great love for the former of those but only because I've never really given it the chance to grow on me. Other swear by it.

I really like VT software but it does seem a little like people who know something about comuters liking DOS. It's certainly not as pretty as QB or SAGE but to my mind that's not necessarily a bad thing.

The thing about VT is that you really need to know the nuts and bolts of double entry rather than the software taking care of everything for you.

Have a browse through the above link and you'll get a feel for peoples strongly held views from both sides of the Sage arguement.

kind regards,

Shaun.

P.S. You need to edit your post to change Sloar to SOLAR. If the system doesn't let you change the post as it was the first one of a thread just let me know and I'll change it for you.
