I am studying level 1 ICB manual bookkeeping. The examples in my course material (Kaplan) are not giving me enough experience of answering questions. There is just not enough of them.
So once I have attempted a question, found out where you went wrong etc there is not always a similar question to attempt to make sure I really do 'get it'.
I was wondering if anyone could suggest where else I can obtain suitable questions from.
I have mock exams from Kaplan (2) but I dont want to attempt them yet. Kaplan also provide me with a book of questions and answers but there just are not enough questions.
I also have Peter Marshalls Mastering Bookkeeping book which has sample questions at the back, but I'm not sure thats enough. I'm sure if I get enough expereince of asking questions then its going to make everything much easier.
Any advice appreciated.

.................just an ICB student, at the moment.
besides the ICB practice papers there's a grear deal of crossover to other supervisory bodies.
The revision companion for AAT units 1-4 would be really useful to you.
My copy is ISBN 9780 7517 3228 3. I do it around once a year to make sure that I haven't forgotten any of the basics. This is also what I used before I took the ICB level I and II manual exams.
I've personally never used any ICB study materials to pass their exams except for past papers to get a feel for format. I passed with 99% and 98% using only the ACCA study text for the old paper 1.1 (that one is now paper F3) and AAT revision materials for foundation level studies so can't be too far off track.
Have a look at this link for the above book : http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/0751732281/ref=dp_olp_used?ie=UTF8&qid=1318709331&sr=8-1&condition=used
There are newer versions but as this is bookkeeping things don't really change that much so why pay more for newer versions.
Also, if you fancied having a bash why not have a look at these old fundamental level financial reporting ACCA papers http://www2.accaglobal.com/students/acca/exams/f3/past_papers. You might surprise yourself at how much you are able to answer in them.
Good luck with your studies,
kind regards,
Shaun.
