Does anyone out there suffer from 'Bookkeepers Block'?
I have had a day in the office today trying to catch up with client's accounts and VAT returns but no matter how I try I just cannot concentrate to do my work and will find all alternative jobs to do rather than bookkeeping. Perhaps I am ready for a holiday or maybe it is that time of year when the days get shorter and colder!!!
Just felt I had to have a say as I have been on my own all day, perhaps that is the problem.
I've had that a lot lately. I think it means I need a holiday, not had one this year. I find my procrastination varies directly to the amount of work I have to do. I try to break tasks down into small chunks to no avail. This post is a perfect example. I used to own one of these, maybe thats what I need again: http://www.theprocrastinator.co.uk/shop/category-one/the-procrastinator-desktop-jotter
I think to a certain extent procrastination comes with self employment. You're the only person making you do this stuff, and sometimes you just can't be a@sed!

My house is never as clean as when I should be working / studying!
When I read the title I thought it was going to be about the bookkeeping mind wipe that occassionally happens to me.
Don't know if you get that one. I know that it's all stored away in there but somehow the brains index seems to have been deleted.

I get that sometimes to Shaun, but I think it might be linked to the first one. When I can't quite remember something it gives me an excuse to read one of the big books on the shelf.
