I am currently doing the books for my husband using Sage having been made redundant in the summer.  I need more clients but am lacking the confidence.  I passed my Level 2 AAT and basic book keeping and sage exams 9 years ago.  Since then I have worked as a book keeper and more recently in the financial department of a large company.

Question is - do my qualifications count and enable me to join ICB or is there a cover all refresher course I could do?

Hi Margo,

sure that James will pick up on this when he logs in tomorrow but in the meanwhile.

My understanding is that only qualification passed within two years will count towards ICB membership.

Welcome to the forum!

Your qualifications would be too old for entry however your experience would count.

If you could get your work experience verified by a chartered/certified accountant it would.
