How much would you expect to pay a liquidator for liquidating a small business with 3 creditors - bank, landlord and rates.

Have been quoted £6k for one of my clients but it seems an awful lot.

Hi There

Last time i was involved in a liquidation (which was 3 years ago) the cost was £3k each for 2 companies.  Both were small limited companies.

Regards

Most insolvency practices (including ourselves) charge around £5,000 (plus vat). However with cases where there is little work involved the fee is likely to be reduced. There aren't many practices out there who will charge £3k from three years ago, but most will be flexible, including ourselves with the fees to make it more viable and appropriate to the company an directors. If anyone wants an explanation of fees please contact me privately. Thanks.

Hi Rehan,

welcome to the forum.

the poster actually posted the same thread under two categories. This one fell by the wayside and people responded to the other so you would probably be better off cutting and pasting your post under this thread :

kindest regards,

Shaun.
