does wnyone on here use the above. I am new to using this software. I am having problems submitting return, it is saying that the ct600 isn't signed or dated, but I have put the director's name in and also dated it. don't know why it is saying this.
Also when I attached my xbrl accounts and comp, it is saying that there is an error, but not saying why.
I have spent hours trying to work this out. If I can't work this out then I have wasted money on this software.
not software that I've used myself by I've read before that people have had issues with it.
The problem apparently is invariably down to not having downloaded all of the latest updates so the interactive PDF template is out of sync with what it should be.
Are you completely up to date? Will it lose anything that you've already entered if you try to update now?
Just a suggestion based on what I've read rather than using it myself but just thought that you're probably going through that any suggestion at all will help stage at the moment.
Hope that someone with more intimate knowledge of this siftware can help out a little more.
kind regards,
Shaun.

The 2010-2011 CT600 submitted on 24/11/2011 has NOT been processed by HMR&C because of the following error:
Problems found in tax form Code : 3312 Box Location : Accounts : Date of signing Directors Report (uk-direp:DateSigningDirectorsReport) is missing. Code : 3312 Box Location : Accounts : Name of Director signing Directors Report (uk-direp:DirectorSigningReport) is missing.
the above is the error message I am now getting!. seemed to have sorted the attachments part. I will look into updating but then I only purchased the software the other week.

Hi Lorraine.
makes no odds if you only purchased it yesterday. Have you seen how many times windows and your firewall update themselves in a weeek!... It surprises me that I have any bandwidth left in order to do anything else!
The message definitely sound as though the data is not where the software is expecting to find it even though it looks ok on your screen.
Does the software have an auto update that you can switch on so that this doesn't happen to you again.

I have clicked check for updates and it says updates are already running, don't think it's that, have called ftax noone there until monday now, cheers ftax support.
Updates are already running means that it's downloading or has just finished downloading an update.
Have you tried restarting the software as you'll probably find that you are running a program that's memory resident and the updates may not have been applied to it yet.

I didn't get on well with FTax either. This might not be much help, but rather than just updating the version you've have, some of my issues were solved by using a later version of Adobe Acrobat altogether.
best wishes, Tim

clutching at straws, and a bit confused to what the problem is.
Code 3312 is an HMRC iXBRL rejection code, and means that the fault is probably with your attachment. Check your VT Final Accounts wookbook for the client and check if the name and date are filled in. If not fill them in and recreate teh iXBRL file and re-attach the new one.
For any one interested this link takes you to a pdf document of the common HMRC rejection codes (it's not HMRC though)
I had a problem with my first attempt this week when I attached an iXBRL file to HMRC CT600 form. When I set up the VT Final Accounts for my client, I used the the companies house reference number which has a leading zero. When you download the CT600 it automatically completes the reference from HMRC records which don't have the leading zero. Got a rejection saying that there was a miss matched reference. Changed the attment for a corrected one - no problem ( touch wood, so far, I dont take rejection well , and twice would be un bearable).
I used the free HMRC CT600 software, which is specific to each client, so a lot of data is already completed. Filling in the rest was simple.
