And to you, Sally Anne!

I don't think Santa is going to be able to give me what I want most for Christmas, though. It's more time to prepare and get all the card-writing and present-buying done! I've missed the second class post deadline already

Hahahaha if you're Tiny Tim, I wonder how tall Bob is?

Seasons greetings to one and all, i hope all your little'uns Christmas wishes come true.

I personally can't wait to see what the New Year brings to the forum, especially as we have some new business ventures to keep track of. I hope it's a prosperous one for all that have undertaken the road to self employment. (Also anyone starting out in a new job, be it a career change or the next rung of the ladder)

I love the magic you can create around this time of year, it may be more for the kids but i can imagine that most of you are in the "i may grow older, but i will not grow up!" group.

Best wishes,

Neil.

Ho Ho Ho

Your little pun did prompt me to have a look at who is celebrating more than just Christmas, and I see there are a few contributors who are having happy returns over the festive period too.

A certain brand of tinned meat, for one, and the lady with the lovely avatar, so I will add an advanced Happy Birthday to you guys too

Shhhhh Bill it's a secret!

Thanks anyway lol. My mum always said that JC was born on Christmas day and that the little devil (points to me) came soon after.

biggrinbiggrinbiggrin HAPPY BIRTHDAY FOR BOXING DAY NEIL biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

... Actually, nobody knows when he was born. Christmas was just a handy Pagan festival ripe for rebranding (same as the Samhain (holiday of the dead) became Halloween). Therefore, Christmas should be all about pressies, family, alcohol and self indulgence. Not necessarily the Messiahs birthday party although on the grounds that nobody actually knows when he was born and can only place it to a five year period I suppose it's as good a time for him to have his party as any other.

OMG, I seem to be turning into Sheldon from the big bang theory!

Beltane was my favourite pagan festival. Having helped build the biggest wicker man I've ever seen (over 15metres tall, and filled with pyrotechnics). Was a site to behold when he went up in smoke. Couldn't find any kids to sacrifice inside it though (damned PC brigade no)

Pagan marriages are quite good too. Best of all they only last a year and a day, then you have the option to renew, if you want to (or not)

lol Bill.

tell me more about this idea of marraiges that come with a built in expiry date!... Why am I now thinking along the lines of lease rather than buy! How sad is that when everything gets reduced to accounting terms.... Mmmm, now would that be an operating or finance lease?... Methinks operating as I wouldn't be keeping them for the whole of their useful economic lives so they would always be an overhead and never an asset... Just like me real ex then!

Who said romance is dead?

I am hoping that my family will buy me the level 4 AAT course for my birthday lol. They're always complaining about not knowing what to buy me so i've made it very simple this year. I've even put one of them piggy banks that you open with a tin opener, upon the mantle-piece and labled it Nelly-Aid.

I don't want much.
