Hi

Having passed my IAB Levels 1,2 &3 exams I am now planning to set up as a self employed bookkeeper.

After taking redundancy 3 yrs ago from being a sales manager/project manager,  I  became a full time mum to my then 2 year old.  I am now looking to get my self back into work, but work that I can fit in with school, hence the bookkeeping.

I've just become a member of the IAB and tonight I start a sage course.  i could really do with some advice on all aspects of what I need to do next.  It's one thing to have the qualifications but without experience it's hard to no where to start, what will the majority of clients expect, can I do  their books from home, what rates to charge etc etc

any advice gratefully appreciated

Congrats on passing the IAB Sian, welcome to the forum and good luck in your new venture.

I'll try to post a bit more helpful advice later but for now it's just a flying visiti to the site.

All the best,

Shaun.
