I'm back reading the forum, currently on page 36 of 92 - I have such a life as you can see biggrin

There are many threads about setting up as self employed, howver I have seen little reference to the requirement to register with the Information Commissioner's Office under the Data Protection Act.

It's only £35pa - a bargain - and I thought it bore repeating since I've only seen a couple of references to the requirement in 36 pages.

I would appreciate people's experiences in the encrpytion element. I have looked up both Open Source and paid solutions and it's a bit of a pain in the bum, while obviously important.
