Hello all, I am new to this forum, although I do recognise a few of the usernames from the ICB forum.
I am looking about the site to see if it is any good for finding clients as I am still trying to get the elusive first one.
You are very unlikely to find any clients here but it's a good place for a bit of freindly banter where you will mix equally with students and members of IAB, AAT, ACCA, CIMA and even a couple of ICAEW's.
Nice to have another ICB forum defector on board (joshin, I know that your' going to two time us!).
all the best,
Shaun.

Drop me a line if you want a chat about marketing and networking - I have run rather a few businesses in my time and quite happy to have a short chat about where would be a good place for you to concentrate your efforts.
There are also lots of marketing threads here if you do a trawl. A lot are hidden under titles that have nothing to do with marketing, so it will take some time. Be worth it though.
as this is an open forum for the benefit of all please could you post any advice and discussion on here rather than handling queries off site which would only be of benefit to a single member.
You may also find that when thrown open to the floor you also take something away from the discussions. I know that I certainly have in the past about areas where I had previously felt myself an expert... Even had a debate on here about the format of the balance sheet and you can't get much more basic than that!
We've got bankers, accountants, bookkeepers, sales people, consultants, engineers, training providers and all manner of other professions each with different angles on what we think that we know.
If it's a paid for service that you are looking to offer don't be shy about advertising the service that your offering in your signiture strap line. There are no forum rules against advertising mutually beneficial services from legitimate members. We only come down on posters who appear, post an ad and then disappear which obviously is not a category that you fall into.
kind regards,
Shaun.

I thought I was suggesting there was plenty of help here, and that even if a search/look at titles hadn't brought much up, it WAS here, just lurking under titles that weren't obvious.
Wasn't doing advertising under cover. I don't offer as a service what I was offering to help with. The OP hadn't asked for marketing, although clearly help is needed, hence the post.
That's all cleared up I hope. Don't want to tread on anyone's toes.
