Wage journals

HI Everyone,

I am getting a bit confused over the whole wage journal thing and how it is displayed on the bank screen.

The original wage journal i did:

Gross wages 7000 D £3233.00
Employers NI 7006 D £364.73
NI 2211 C £680.33
PAYE 2210 C £521.80
Net Wages C £2395.60
Totals: Debits £3597.73
Totals: Credits £3597.73

Then when i go into Bank and then payment this is what i entered:

2220- £2395.60
2210- £521.80
2211- £680.33
Total: £3597.73 (as per wage journal)

The only thing is on the bank reconciliation screen states £3597.73 paid out but i only paid the employee the £2395.60 so inst that what should be on the bank screen? As i now cant complete my bank rec?

Am very confused.com please help i know i am probably being very stupid but just want it to be right.

Thanks so much to anyone that replies x

Hi Beckyboo

You need to do 2 seperate bank payments, one for the net wages (£2,395.60) and the other for the PAYE (£521.80 + 680.33).

Hope this helps.
