Hi All,

What qualification or accreditations must one have for Hmrc to grant one an Approved Agent status? Your views will be appreciated thank you.

At the moment, a tax agent isn't required to hold a formal qualification or be a member of a professional body in order to be recognised by HM Revenue & Customs.

In such case, I assume they will be regulated by Hmrc and are subject to MLR and relevant regulation as everyone else in the profession.

Thank you Robert for the clarifying that.
