Tax returns - refresher courses
Permalink Closed

I'm in the process of trying to build a new bookkeeping business from the bottom up and I'm qualified to AAT level but it has been an absolute age since i've done any tax work. Can any of you recommend any refersher courses that I could maybe look at?

I'd appreciate any input that you be able to offer.

Great forum by the way!

Hi,

Frauke Golding does IAB level 4 tax training (here's a link to her site http://yourlocalbook-keeper.co.uk/course/)

If you are happy enough with a course on a CD then the BPP i-learn CD's for papers F6 and P6 are perfect for you. (F is at a lower level than P).

For the associated study texts use Kaplan rather than BPP as they are better learning materials.

The CD's will get you up to speed quickly. the study texts are a lot deeper level of study.

Here are some handly links for you to check out :

F6

P6

Personally I buy the Kaplan P6 study text every year along with the annual Taxation book by Alan Melville.

HTH,

Shaun.
