That's better than my bank pays Sheila.... Maybe I should just send all of my money to HMRC on the hope that they give it back again lol.

Does anybody can answer:overpayment to hmrc is other debtors or prepayment on balance sheet?thank you

Its a debtor.

A prepayment assumes that you will actually owe the money eventually (which at the period end you don't and have no indication that you will), a debtor means that you are owed the money (which I'm sure that HMRC will return imminently).
