Having decided to begin a career as a bookkeeper, I have chosen to study for the AAT qualification, whicn I will be starting as soon as i've chosen a home study provider.
I have been reading some of the old posts on this forum and I am confused as to what type of work I can undertake whilst I am studying.
Having been employed for over 20 years in a managerial role with a large insurance company, it still does not seem right, but I really like the idea of being self-employed.
The reason this is important to me is that since my decision to become a book-keeper, I have had over five friends and family that would like me to help them with the administration of their respective businesses. This will not initially involve the book-keeping, but I think I could definitely help with credit control, database managemgent and general day to day duties.
Is this allowable whilst studying AAT as the previous posts do not explain this in depth. Any help would be fab!
Please repost with follow ups once you've read the thread.
Kind regards,
Shaun.
