Looking for free ACCA CPD courses
Permalink Closed

Good evening

I qualified with the ACCA last year and 2012 will be the first year that I'm required to complete a CPD return.

I've just received the official ACCA CPD brochure which lists a wide range of courses. The only snag is the cost, and at the mo I'm not working.

Does anyone know of any free CPD courses that are run in the South East? Ideally a classroom course would be great, but will consider anything really!

Cheers

Den

Hi Den,

welcome to the forum.

Don't know of any free courses to attend but just just wanted to check that you have already been through the online learning on the ACCA site to gain the hours there? They have multi choice questions after the learning to prove that you have done the course and each counts for one hour.

The courses are accessible from the members pulldown then go to Continued Professional Development (sure I go t to them a different way the other day but I'm damned if I can remember how).

Hows the job hunt going?

Talk later,

Shaun.

And no sooner did I press the enter button than I remembered!

I was doing a search the other day for Lisa Weavers article on "Assessing the Risk of Material Misstatement" and it took me to this page :

Have fun,

Shaun.

If you go to the events section on the website there are loads of free courses that they offer, usually evening etc.

Also as mentioned online webinars with ACCA, accountancy age.

Have a look as well on other boards sites such as CIMA and ICAEW. If you know someone in those bodies they may be able to get you an invite along.
