Are the free business card offers you see on the internet any good? I'm tempted by one cheap offer, you get 250 cards for £2.50.

Money is tight so any cash I can save at the moment is a bonus.

Unfortunately Jamie,

You get what you pay for. By all means save cash, but this is the image of your business.

I ordered some from one of the famous producers over the internet (and they will not leave me alone now) and to be honest I have made a better one on Publisher and used good quality card and they look very good. Yep you get what you pay for, enough said.

I would have to take the same tack as the other guys. I bought some at the same offer, and wish i haddn't. I now have 250 cards that look sub-standard to other peoples at networking events.

Save you r money and buy decent ones. Moo.com is one such provider! :D

The only thing i dont like about their cards is they aren't the 'normal' size of business card, they seem to be a little shorter... :/

I assume that we're all talking about Vistaprint.

I'm now on my third batch and of those only one of those was bad because whilst it looked good on the screen the font was too small to be readable in real life.

Personally I've got no issue with the quality but the one thing that I would say is to scrap their formatting and spend time designing your own card on their backgrounds.

Of the free offers also had the personalised book, magnetic car advertising (which is currently on the front of my fridge rather than the car), Postcards, flyers, return labels, card holder and pre inked stamp.

Worth special note there are the card holders which are excellent quality considering that they're free.

Last batch was 100 postcards, 100 flyers, 250 business cards, 100 return labels, magnetic car advert, card holder and writing book with personalised cover. I paid for a couple of extra's including printing on the back of the cards and inside cover of the book.

Whole lot including delivery (via their slowest option) was £12.48!

It is true that once they have you they send you a message about latest deals a couple of times a week but I don't find it obtrusive.

All in all, thumbs up from me.

HTH,

Shaun.

I'm with Shaun. I've been using Vistaprint since I started my practice. No complaints here.

I use VistaPrint for similar goodies - but (thankfully) they honour the account setting to not send those emails if you don't want them. That makes those emails even less obtrusive. :)

I've used them too. Firstly my cards and they are ok but like Shaun said you need to spend time customising them, so when I did my postcards I spent alot of time getting it right and they looked fab, very professional and only cost me the postage which I think was about £5.49. It was for 100 of them. Well they have paid for themselves as I got 2 clients from them when I was advertising using them.

I am tihnking of doing the pens with them, anyone done them and what are they like?
