I need to enter the separate monthly payroll journals onto a clients accounting programme from Aug last year to date. What report do they need to send me so I have all the information to enter including their total wages expenses. I thought everything would be on a P32 but its only showing the payments made to HMRC not the total payments to employees as well. Its been a while since I've done payroll so I can't remember what report it is I need to get all the information.

Really urgently need to know so I can email them.

Depends what system they are using to run there payroll

But if it is SAGE payroll then need the report that gives the monthly payroll per employee and the report that shows the employers NIC.  Not sure what they are called but sure someone else will be able to advise.

Regards

That's the exact report that I need - thought it had a specific report name/number though.

In the pre-update reports it will be
"Payment Summary (Part 1)"
"Payment Summary (Part 2)"

And just for good measure in the post update reports it will be
"Payment Summary (Part 3)"

Thanks Peasie. The people who's accounts I'm doing don't really have much of a clue what they would be looking for so the name of the reports helps them to get me the correct documents. If I was sat in front of their payroll programme I would have no problems finding what I need straight away.
