An employee recently moved house but forgot to mention it, so his details were not updated in Sage Payroll. This resulted in his P60 showing his previous address and the end of year online submission being submitted to HMRC with his old address.
All other details were correct, it's just his address which was not up to date. Does anyone think this will cause any problems? I can't see it making any difference. Tax and NI has been paid/recorded against his NI number etc.
Sage Payroll has been updated with the new address and employee is asking if he needs a new P60 showing his new address. I wouldn't have thought so. Anyone know if it's even possible to print out another P60 with the newly entered address after year end has been completed?
No, I wouldn't have thought it would matter. As long as it is now correct. If you took a backup before running the year end procedure you could always restore this, change the address and then re-run the year end.
You shouldn't need to restore back to before you ran the year end ? Change the address. Change the date to 5/4 and reprint his P60 from reports, year end, year 2011/12, p60 - but it won't matter anyway as they go off your ni no at hmrc
