I've had a few whirlwind months and have already decided to embark on a home study AAT course and also that my first choice is to be self-employed once I complete my studies.
Looking forward, I have noticed that there seems to be a mix of people using their initials, surnames and business names when naming their bookkeeping businesses.
I only plan on working for 10-30 clients at any one time, but can't decide if a name or initials show a more personable local business or not. What do those of you that have started or are planning to start your businesses think?
Depends on how you are trying to seel your business.
If you aim to be an accountancy firm thaen sound like and accountancy firm with multiple surnames (my option).
If you aim to go country wide then a snappy little name like Crunchers.
If you are happy to stay small then clients are not overly concerned about your name so long as you somehow get your name out there so that they notice you.
HTH,
Shaun.
