I've been looking for a domain name for my new bookkeeping business for a while now and thought I'd check out the domain name bookkeepers.com to see who owns it. Found out the owner is currently trying to sell it on Sedo.com.

Thought I'd place a cheeky £150 bid on Sedo for the domain - you never know your luck. Had a counter offer back from the owner of $35,000! 

Slightly out of my budget, but what an awesome name to launch a bookkeeping business with, if I had the spare cash!

I think this would be a good investment for a couple of grand, but $35k is way too much. You can buy a taxassist franchise for that!

I'd keep your money.

According to Google Adwords there are only 110 exact match searches each month on 'book keepers' and 590 on 'bookkeepers' each month. Compare that with 'accountacy',  8,100 searches monthly and 'accountants' which has 5,400 searches each month. These are UK totals only.
