End of Year in Sage
Permalink Closed

Hello everyone,

I'm looking for a quick bit of advice about year end on Sage.

My client's year end is 31/5/12.  I haven't processed May transactions in Sage or run the end of year process in Sage yet.

However, idiot that I am I have raised three sales invoices on 2/6/12.

My question is: will this affect running the year end as at 31/5/12?

Thanks for your help.

Kelly

No, it won't have any effect on the year end.  As the invoices are in the new financial year, Sage will ignore them when it processes the year end.

You don't need to stop processing because you've moved into a new financial year. You can process stuff in both years as Sage is date driven. Don't roll the year end until you're sure last year has all entries included and make sure you take a back up before you do it. New year reporting is more difficult until you have closed the year but not unsolveable.
