I am using Sage Instant and when posting bank interest received I post to 4900.  However, on P & L account this is showing as "other sales".  Where should I be posting this to

Hi

I think that you are posting it to the correct account but you would just need to change the chart of accounts to show that this was interest received so that it doesn't get confused as an 'other sales'

Thanks Mark.  Changed name on chart of accounts and it is now showing as interest recd. Appreciate your speedy reply.
