I met with a potential client yesterday who would like me to advise if the sale of their holiday let would qualify for Entrepreneurs relief when and if they sold if in the next year.
They bought the property in 1979 and have let it as a holiday let from this date to now.
I have looked at the rules on Entrepreneurs Relief and it does state that it may be applicable as long as all conditions are met.
My question's are, has anybody got any experience on applying this type of relief for holiday lets and lastly, if the client was to move into the property for say a year or two, when they eventually sell the property would they still be able to claim Entrepreneurs Relief for the period it was a holiday let? (This is assuming that the tax rules are as at now).
Any help or opinions would be gratefully received.
