Another international break over where we again come to terms that the home nation teams are never going to win a world cup but back to the premiership and the BKN/Training Link challenge, those making transfers remember there is likely to be jet lag for the south american players in the premiership, dont forget to get your transfers in before 11.30 AM on Saturday morning.

Good luck and have a great weekend.

Hi Ann-Marie,

It's definitely a little temperamental the site.  There was no Log In button when I was trying to log in before, but now there is and it seems to have sorted itself out.  You have 33 points so far this week....good going!!

The end of game week 8 saw Ross Brinsdon walk away with the highest points score of 55 therefore closes the gap on leader. Top 3 now reads as follows.

1. Optegra Rocks 457 pts
2. Brizza;s Villains 430 pts
3. Hometown Refugees 428 pts

Still anyone can win as there is only 24pts between 2nd and 6th Place so expect the top 3 to have many changes throughtout the courses of the competition. Game On

Morning all, when will I learn... Torres the ex red never does it for me when I put him as captain.

Gap certainly is closing, will have to take a proper look at my team this week...

Well done Ross.

Howdy BKNers

Crazy weekend of football with good old Chelsea once again at the forefront of the news now claiming the referee made racist comments to the Chelsea players, 2 players sent off which had a major effect on the BKN league.

Once again BKN's Ross Brinsdon gains the most points for the 2nd week running with a cool 75 points and now is top of the league courtesy of goal difference. Top 3 now reads as follows.

1. Brizza's Villains 505 pts
2. Optegra Rocks 505 pts
3. Premier Picks 483 pts

The top 3 are by no means running away from the rest of the field and it can and will change a lot over the next few weeks, so even if you are 150 pts behind you can still catch up, will the inaugural BKN/Training Link fantasy football league be won by a BKN or Training Link member of staff?

Well I had a good week courtesy of Chelsea...NOT!  With both Torres and Ivanovich being sent off!  At least Tevez gained me some points.

Just how many of you are Training Link employees? lol

Howdy BKNers

Yes Pauline Gary is the owner of Training Link and Rob his Son, hope you enjoyed your Birthday.

Well a low scoring week sees the BKN/Training Link Fantasy Football league really hotting up, the 7th placed team is only 47 points off the lead, so this is really close and I suspect will go down to the last game of the season? Top score this week was Bakewell Tarts run by Christine Kitching wih a cool 57 points.

Top 3 now reads as follows.

1. Brizzas Villains 546 pts
2. Optegra Rocks 529 pts
3. Hometown Refugees 514 pts

Game On
Dave

Game week 11

The BKN/Training Link fantasy football league has a new leader, Training Links Rob Hupston finds himself at the top with a massive score of 78 points, Rob took a gamble on Evertons Fellaini as captain and it paid off with 26pts. Still very close and the top 3 now reads as follows

1. Yagar Bombers 586 pts
2. Otegra Rocks 579 Pts
3. Brizza's Villains 573

Good luck in round 12

Dave

Game Week 12

Well by the skin of his teeth Training Links Rob Hupston remains the league leader, a special mention to Mark Cornwall who scored an impressive 83 pts with his team Marks Marvels, I wonder who if any will be the first team to score 100 points or more?

Top 3 now read as

1. Yagar Bombers 639 pts
2. Optegra Rocks 632 pts
3. Hometown Refugees 628 pts

Shows how close the league is with the team in 7th place only 49 pts off the top, still anyones title?????

Well done Mark!! Pushed me out of 14th place. If only I hadn't changed my Captain from Tevez to Dzeko this week, I would have had an extra 19 points! I would hate to be a football manager for real....they must get through a hell of a lot of chewing gum!

Good Morning BKNers no time to catch your breath as game week 13 ends we have a full premier league fixture list on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week so dont forget to make your changes.

Van Persie has been a let-down over the last couple of weeks, Tevez a weekend sub who only played for 22 mins so sure to play in the week Newcastle suffering according to their manager a lack of confidence and Aston Villa with a team of young players no one has ever heard of and fighting for their premiership lives, Southampton winning their last 2 games and WBA in a champions league place in the league. (Am I dreaming?) And lets not forget Chelsea and their desire to self-destruct with a team of Prima Donna's and then the disgraceful anti sematic chants both in Europe and in the Premiership over the weekend. (No NEED FOT IT) Football Eh? No other sport with the exception of the Ryder Cup installs so much passion and excitement. As we enter Game Week 14 please be advised that the top two in the league are both Training Providers so let the professional rivalry continue. lol

Top 3 now read as:
1. Yagar Bombers 688 pts
2. Premier Picks 669 pts
3. Optegra Rocks 665 pts

Special mention to the leagues top points teams which was shared by Amanda Hillmans Dunn FC and Ria Toomer Lucky Dippers who both scored an impressive 71 pts.

Good Luck this week.

Dave

Well game week 14 had no changes in as far as the top 3 in the league was concerned and game week 15 saw quite a few injuries to players who stand a good chance of being in some of our teams, players like Gareth Bale for one so before you make your changes for game week 16 make sure you are not picking injured players. Top 3 now reads as:

1. Yagar Bombers 821 Points
2. Optegra Rocks 794 Points
3. Premier Picks 790 Points

Top scorer this week was league leader Rob Hupston with a nice 68 points.

Good luck for round 16.

A big well done to Christine Kitching and her team Bakewell Tarts FC who are the first team this year to score over the 100 point threshold. Christine scored an impressive 101 points this week which has her shooting up the table into 4th, she wins the right to wash up after Christmas Dinner (teach her for taking the mick out of me by claiming household bragging rights) Only joking a box of deluxe hand made chocs are winging their way to her as we speak.

Busy Christmas period which by January will tell us a lot about the teams still in with a chance of winning the first ever BKN/Training Link Fantasy Football League. Top 4 now read as follows.

1. Yagar Bombers 883 Pts
2. Premier Picks 869 Pts
3. Optegra Rocks 840 pts
4. Bakewell Tarts 821 pts

Good Luck

Lol Pauline dont worry my post was only in jest, I always cook the Dinner at Christmas, which is served on paper plates and plastic knives, forks and spoons so no washing up at all lol. Yes I did notice your team so well done you for forgetting. I am too far away to win now but the other half is still in with a shout and dont forget cup games start on game week 18 which offers another chance to win a site prize, glad to see your interest has not wained.

All the best
Dave

Have you ever tried to eat a roast dinner off a paper plate? Have you ever tried to eat anything off a paper plate? Especially when it's balanced on your lap! lol

I've no hope of winning, but then I didn't expect to for my first attempt at this sort of thing. I'm more competing against hubbie and son who have their own league going on. I'll just be happy not to come bottom!

Roast Dinners on a paper plate with lashings of gravy, a disaster waiting to happen, roll on Christmas day lol.

Well game week 17 saw Campbells Superstars walk away with the highest points score of 68, just pipping the league leader who scored 67.

From the 22nd Dec until the 2nd Jan there will be 4 rounds of games as well the cup starts this week where your team will be randomly selected to play another team from the other leagues, this is a knockout comp where if you make the final there is a site prize awarded. There will also be another Wildcard issued in January where you can make as many subs as you want without a points deduction.

Top 3 now read as

1. Yagar Bombers 947 points
2. Premier Picks 890 points
3. Optegra Rocks 874 points

Good Luck
Dave

Is this just an internal competition then Dave?

Hi Pauline

Hope you are well and looking forward to Christmas. No it is not an internal competition, you can be drawn to play any team registered and not just the teams in the BKN/Training Link league.

Dont forget the team that finishes at the bottom of our table also wins a rather nice box of hand made chocs, and when I say the team that finishes last I mean the team who are closest to the bottom who has actually spent time making regular subs and logging in, those who just selected a team and have not made any substitutions will not be eligible for any prizes.

Hope this helps Pauline and as you say there are still household bragging rights to play for.

Take Care
Dave

Christmas break over and by now I should imagine we are all back to the normal rountines of everyday life, another year older and a little less richer lol. After the hectic period is over I have to suffer the constant backlash of my other half Christine bragging about not knowing that much about football and leading the BKN/Training Link Fantasy Football league at the half way stage. Oh how women like to dig the knife in lol.

Big well done to Optegra Rocks who were this weeks top points scorer with an impressive 84 points and also to Highlander who is now our only representative left in the cup. Good luck this week!!!!!

Top 3 now read as follows

1. Bakewell Tarts 1132 pts
2. Optegra Rocks 1106 pts
3. Yagar Bombers 1094 pts

Still any one of 10 teams can win. Good luck in the next round and come on you Villains in tonights cup semi against Bradford.

Dave

Game week 22 saw no teams from the BKN/Training Link league have progresssed in the cup, however the league is really hotting up. The BKN/Training Link fantasy football league winners plaque has arrived and as soon as I work out how to post a picture will put on the forum so players can see what they are playing for.

As for last weeks games I can tell you top scorer was me with 94 points which sees me move into 4th position in the league. Top 3 now reads as follows.

1. Bakewell Tarts 1212 pts

2. Optegra Rocks 1183 pts

3 Yagar Bombers 1151 pts

4 Campbells Superstars 1133

Good luck with this weeks games

Never say never Pauline but at least you have been playing unlike the majority, that ol thing called life seems to get in the way, well done on breaking the 1000 points barrier, my other half is in the lead and I will never live it down if she wins, having a stinker this week when I was slowly catching up.

Trophy will last for 12 years as I plan to keep running it over the next few years but any member who wants to take over next year is more than welcome.

Game week 23 over and my team Aston Villa out of two cups in a matter of days, knocked out of the league cup semi final by BRADFORD, relegation beckons I fear?

As for the BKN/Training Link league we have a new leader courtesy of the weeks top score of 95 pts is Optegra Rocks. Top 4 now read as.

1. Optegra Rocks 1278 pts
2. Bakewell Tarts 1274 pts
3. Yagar Bombers 1225 pts
4. Campbells Superstars 1217 pts

Remember game week 24 is a mid week so make your changes now.

Good Luck

Why cant January be a 60 day month? Never enough hours to get through work and have a life as well so forgive the delayed update, not that much to report on the league front as no changes in the top 4.

Biggest league leap this week was from my boss and owner of Training Link Gary Hupstons Forever Dreaming (I can vouch for that) who scored 63 points and leaps into 5th Place, indeed the only team keeping Training Link staff and associates from the top four places is the league leader Jeremy and his Optegra Rocks team. Top 4 now read as.

I took out Mertesacker (sp?) who had a terrible game mid week!! Don't know what's up with the Gunners lately....apart from Arsene not being able to do up his coat!! My son is not a happy bunny.

Go Jeremy....got to keep those Training Link staff off the top!

Oh nooooooooooooooooo Jeremy I was all set to come on here with a bit of friendly banter about the Villa stuffing the toffees until that long haired Yeti got his injury time brace, talk about being gutted, still at least you never had him as your captain for which you must be kicking yourself. I took Baines out a couple of weeks ago more fool me, think you will maintain your lead but it is a very slender one. Good luck next week.

Awww...sorry Dave....whatever gave you that idea!

I didn't do so well this week, but kept my 11th place.  Can't believe Swansea lost to West Ham  (Swansea are my second team).  My aim is to finish in the top ten!

Top 10 finish is achievable Pauline but no place in Europe lol.

Ok game week 25 complete with bonus points added and it is all change at the top with only 20pts between the top four places which now reads as follows.

1 Bakewell Tarts 1353
2 Yagar Bombers 1350
3 Optegra Rocks 1348
4 Campbells Superstars 1333

Good Luck in game week 26 and 12 games to go the league is still wide open, who will be the inaugural winner? Me I hope lol.

Dave

Howdy BKNers

Well its all getting close at the top of the BKN/TRAINING LINK Fantasy Football challenge and well done to those who worked out that Liverpool and Swansea had 2 games in Game Week 26, those that did certainly took advantage of the this. Top scorer this week who managed to score the elusive 100 points was Marks Marvels. Well done mark impressive stuff, a few on his heels though scoring in the 90's.

With only 11 games left I cant see past the top 8 winning the challenge but you never know?

Top 4 now read as follows

1. Yagar Bombers 1444 pts
2. Optegra Rocks 1427 pts
3. Bakewell Tarts 1425 pts
4. Campbells Superstars 1420 pts

For a full league table please log on to the official site. Good luck in the next round where I am to break into the top 3.

Dave
