Yes it does feel that way, only 11 games to go now then we have to get the winners name engraved on the plaque and then get it posted to them for it all to start again in August. I am actually looking for someone to run it next season if youre interested but my plan is to reach GURU status from the football season alone and I am even failing at that, still 1.7 hours sleep a week and bags around the eyes a giant Panda would be proud of and for what? Football this year? Could do Golf or fishing next or even a BKN Sci Fi Quiz night. With an assistant like you Neil we could hold regular BKN get together's, Shaun could be the committee Chairman, with Amanda doing a regular stand-up routine, Kris could be the Gavel bearer. We could find a role for all the regulars, what you say? lol We could even do the BKN Annual Conference where the BKN awards are handed out in person to the winners, we could charge £500 a head with a MacDonalds and a bottle of coke thrown in, it would of course be a black tie event. We would have a giant picture of our leader Steve Hillman and even start a cult. Think about it mate, it just might work!!!! lol

10 games to go with I would suggest any team in the top 8 of the BKN/Training Link League is still in with a shout of winning. Top scorer this week was Training Link owner Gary Hupstons team Forever Dreaming with an impressive 75 points. its all change at the top again and four of the top five places being taken by Training Links staff and associates. Now is the time to use your subs well! Top 5 now read as follows
Top score in this weeks games went to new leader Rob Hupston and his Yagar Bombers team with 83 points followed closley by his Dad Gary Hupston with 80 points, the league now looks between the top 6 players but its not over until its over. The top 3 now have a decent break but a 100 point week could soon change that for the teams below. Top 3 are now as follows
Top 3 are it seems pulling away from the rest of the field with only 8 or 9 games to go, top scorer again this week was league leader Rob Hupston with 60 pts
Not many games to go and I cant really see anyone but the top 7 teams winning the plaque. Top scorer once again this week was Gary Hupston and his Forever Dreaming Team 62 points this has seen him storm into the top 4 which now reads as follows.
Top scorer last week was Christine Kitchings Bakewell Tarts with 73 pts followed by league leader Rob Hupston on 72. With only a few games to go really looking like a 3 runner race and it is Yagar Bombers to lose.
Howdy BKN Footy fans, with just a few games to go it looks like the top 3 will be fighting it out for the BKN/TRAINING LINK TROPHY
Top scorer last week was HIGHLANDERS with a low 49 pts, rubbish week with all the top players firing blanks, bit like my Dad which is probably why I look like the milkman lol.
all the top players firing blanks, bit like my Dad which is probably why I look like the milkman lol.
Dave! I'm shocked...lol
I had a reasonable score last week....moved up a place as well! Unlike the game I'm going to have this week....I've been so busy that I totally forgot to change my team. I have three Swansea players and Swansea are not playing this week...but I thought, never mind...they'll be replaced with players on my bench...but they included two WBA players and they're not playing either! ......fx...cries into coffee cup.......
You should have gone mad like me lol, I made about 7 subs as there is a double game week for a few teams, just hope it pays off, I cant realistically win so just going to have a bit of fun.
don't try talking to me about football though as I've had absolutely no interest in the game since they stopped it being about the head of a beaten general in a sack bag. (maybe they should resurrect that version of the game replacing losing generals with losing team manager's).
Anyway, as I say, no interest at all in grossly overpaid guys kicking a ball around a field so I'll just be posting Daves messages exactly as they are emailed to me without further comment in the messages that will follow.
Have fun...
Howdy BKNer footy fans.
Well it now looks like a battle between two teams in the race to the BKN/Training Link fantasy football challenge plaque. Robert Hupston Yagar Bombers and Jeremy Robbins Optegra Rocks are seperated by only 38 pts which is nothing and can be clawed back in one gameweek. Its been a great challenge and with only 3 games to go for most premier league teams this is going to the last game. Jeremy dont be defeatest you are still in with a great chance of winning and Rob dont throw it away. Special mention to this weeks top scorer Craig Macdonald whose team The Baking Boys scored 70 pts and has taken 3rd spot in the league.
So Rob and Jeremy use your subs well and let the best man win.

Think 34 points in 2 weeks is going to be too much with just 2 games remaining... may need to do something a little different with the captain this week..
Good luck Rob, hoping I can catch up a little bit more to make the last week interesting..!
Long drive to Goodison tomorrow to say goodbye to Moyes.. also cheering on Bainesy to score, set a few up and keep a clean sheet!

Well, I picked the right team captain this week.....go Sturridge! Was never going to win, but would like to go out with a bang! lol I only need Dzeko and Tevez to have a blinder on Tuesday (despite losing the Cup!) and I may break my points record.
Gareth Bale let you down this week Jeremy - Everton kept a clean sheet though
Damn..... I changed my captain this week to Baines per my post but clearly forgot to confirm team... Cant believe it. May have made the last week a bit interesting!
Have not looked at the league but can see that Walcott scored so Rob should be safe in his lead - Unless Baines scores 5 next week...?

Well as we enter the final game week of the BKN/Training Link fantasy football league it looks like a straight match between Yagar Bombers and Optegra Rocks although Yagar Bombers will have to have a disaster not to walk away with the title. Jeremy has to take a chance on subs and ensure he has a totally different team to Rob and they all score well.
I personally would like to thank those that took part and hope it (the game) took your minds away if only for a couple of hours from your busy working life. The game will be back next year and be good to see even more members playing.
I will post of photograph of the winner with the engraved plaque and wish Jeremy and Rob all the best.
MAY THE BEST MAN WIN.
Dave
Have fun now y'all

Daves been chained to a wall in the BKN dungeon until he agree's to improve on the awful Friday jokes.
He wasn't budging in his resolve so we've now upped the torture and put the UK Eurovision entry on repeat in his cell.

Lol.....poor Dave.....actually I quite like the UK's eurovision song. We're not going to win though...doubt we ever will again. It's become more of a political contest now rather than a song contest.
We still watch every year though, but have bets on who is going to vote for whom
Well the BKN/Training Link Fantasy Football Challenge went right to the final game of the season with only 2 teams managing to break the 2000 points barrier.
2 members of Training Link filled top 3 places which reads as follows.
CHAMPION
Mr Robert Hupston: Team YAGAR BOMBERS 2104 pts
RUNNER UP
Mr Jeremy Robbins: Team OPTEGRA ROCKS 2076 pts
THIRD PLACE
Mr Gary Hupston: Team FOREVER DREAMING 1997 pts
Trophy will be engraved and presented to Robert next weekend where a photograph will be posted on the forum.
Thank you to all who took part and hope you will all join in again next season, friends and family are all welcome to join.
Dave
As usual all accusations of it being a fix and demands for recounts should be addressed to myself on the back of used £20 motes.
All the best,
Shaun.

Yep well done Rob - deserved winner over the season.
All too easy for me to go back and moan about the times I once again (will I ever learn) made Torres captain on a double game week only to return 1 or 2 points..
But then there were also the lucky transfers and one or two lucky captain weeks so it does all balance out in the end.
Looking forward to next years one - I do one for Optegra too so if anyone wants to join that to go head to head with other accountants then please feel free (I will post details closer to the time)
Shame I could not win to alleviate the fixing doubters would have been good to put a face to the training link member names.
Maybe next year......?
Cheers
Jeremy

a follow up message from Dave complete with a picture of the door to Training Link towers being obscured by their winner. (lol, well done Rob).
Howdy BKNers
Its been a while and I hope you are all well and not suffering from sunstroke? I am pleased to post the pictures of Rob Hupston with his BKN/Training Link Fantasy Football Winners Plaque.
A Massive congratulations to Rob who unlike myself it seems has done Training Link proud. With the new season only a few weeks away there will be a new game posted on the forum with log on details as before.
Thank you for all those who took part and hope to see you all again next season. A Special mention to Jeremy Robbins and his Optegra Rocks team who was in the top 3 for the whole season, maybe this year eh Jeremy.
