I concluded from your message Shaun that people who are members of this forum are busy people running their own businesses . It is fine by me that answers to questions don't appear immediately after those questions are placed on the forum. I have time and I can wait as long as it is necessary . If I get an answer I get it. If people are busy I wait or I don't get the answer at all. I don't have a problem with that. I hope I will learn a lot from this forum!

We all started somewhere and I'm glad to hear that you are not one of those who does a half day introduction to bookkeeping and thinks that they are an expert.
All those serious about expanding their knowledge base are welcome here even if they are only thinking about going down this path with their careers.
I don't know if you understand the setup here but I'll give you a quick overview.
There are lots of members of the site. Some are students, others employed and many self employed.
Everyone is welcome to add their contributions to posts and the community tries to help everyone who asks for help.
However, the contributors are unpaid and often are running their own accounting or bookkeeping practices so questions sometimes are not answered for up to 24 hours (longer in January, March and April which are particularly busy times) but they will always be answered as soon as possible by whoever logs in and knows an appropriate answer.
Which country are you in? Are you UK based or elsewhere in the world?
I look forwards to chatting in the coming month as your knowledge base expands.
Have a read around the site and I'm sure that you will pick up lots of useful information.
