I went to see a potential client this afternoon, who is using Sage 50 Accounts Professional 2011.
He has a girl who maintains the sales ledger. Then, the ex-bookkeeper would come in, take a backup of their system, install it on her laptop (which also had Sage installed on it), update the purchase ledger, do the VAT, then re-install it onto their system. In the meantime, the girl who does the sales would be working on her PC doing something else.
The issue I have is that I don't have Sage and to buy it would costs more then the job is worth. Can I ask the client to install Sage on another PC for me to use? Is that allowed or not?
