Amended P11D(b)
Permalink Closed

Hi all,

I have to submit an amended P11D(b) for tax year 10/11 (long story).  Where do I actually get one from?  I have searched HMRC website but to no avail, do I need to get one posted to me?

Hi there,

Many thanks for that, but when I click on the link for the 2010/2011 form it just brings up the 2012 form Tried it with all the forms and they're all the same.

Hi Pauline,

I don't think HMRC want these to be easily available especially for previous years. My software won't even produce a current blank P11D. I dare say I could create one in PDF then edit out the name and details before printing if I had to. I saw a comment on Accountingweb suggesting sending a copy of the original with 'Amended' written on it but I'm not sure how effective this would be or even if you hold the original.

kind regards,
Tim

Hi Tim,

Thanks for the reply. It was HMRC who actually said I should submit the amended P11d(b) and I have it in writing, so I think I will call them tomorrow and ask what I should do. I also have to submit an amended P11D and send to the relevant tax office in order that the employee's record can be amended. I don't hold the original so no choice there, although I have got a copy of the original P11D.

Hi all,

Just thought I'd share the results of this one. First of all I rang the Employer's helpline who said that I should send in a letter and should download a form from the HMRC site. When I told the woman I'd already tried that and couldn't find one for that tax year she had a look and said they weren't available any more. She suggested I rang the Employer's order line to get a paper one. When I rang them they told me that paper ones were no longer available for that tax year and suggested I just crossed out the year on last year's form and put a note to that effect in the letter.

I had to send the completed forms to the following address:-

P11d Support Team
Tynemouth House
Room BP8019
Benton Park View
Newcastle
NE98 1ZZ.

Hope this helps!
