After having a slightly stressful conversation with BPP, I have now booked and paid for one of my three final courses for AAT with the lovely Premier Training. Looking forward to starting my studying again
Ah, I see the comment ffrom the other post now. It was the BPP training courses rather than their materials.
Can you divulge any more of what caused the stress?

I have been studying AAT since I can remember... which is quite a long time . I used to work for large corporate firms and after a few years, work took over on the study front... which is why I didn't get around to completing. So now, with only three tests left to go, I thought it was about time I put some letters after my name... now that I have no staff, no management and generally a very nice working environment.
So after speaking with BPP, who quoted me a thousand pounds... I thought my final exams were a little out of my price range. But the lovely company mentioned above were very reasonable, very helpful and I signed up there and then.
Thank you for the good luck wishes... it's one thing accounting in practice, but it's a whole different story in a learning/examination situation... and it's been so long since I was last a student. I think I will need all the luck I can get.
Note to self.. do not answer back to the tutors! One of my problems is I am one of those irritating people that thinks I know best because I have experience.... back to the experience vs qualifications argument lol

Maybe we should form a club.
With myself though I fall in both categories.
On the management accountancy side I came to it from experience and I often find myself argueing with the books that are often written by people who have never been anywhere near the commercial environment of the subject that they are writing about.
Conversely on the financial accountancy side I came to it from the accademic route.... Still doesn't stop me argueing with the books though!
Maybe that's why Kaplan put so many errors in their study texts as when you can spot them you're ready! (there were 16 A4 pages of corrections for the 2011 P2 text!).

Also Amanda, if you have not yet sat FNST (Financial Statements) you will be pleased to know that AAT have dropped some of the IASs that needed to be learnt form the module, If however, like me you have already passed this exam it should be a boost to know we did the hard one lol.

I'm doing AAT level 4, but its a hard slog and I haven't progressed as far as I would have liked, now I am about to loose a client (another thread), I may actually have spare time! I won't know what to do with myself. The intentions are to heavily market myself, help a friend get their business off the ground and do some study!
don't know if you've read the conversations with Neil (spam kebab) about open tuition but if you need some pointers to help get you on top of the AAT let me know the module and I'll tell you the ACCA equivalent so that you can get a free 40 hours of lectures for whichever module you are on.
I know 40 hours sounds a lot but when you are lucky enough to drop on subjects covered by the lecturer Mike Little they are very easy to listen to / watch as he has quite a dry sense of humour of the old school lecturer variety. (can almost imagine him throwing a blackboard rubber at students... They just don't make teachers like that anymore).
Anyway, as I say, you tell me the subject and I'll tell you the equivalent lectures to get you on top of it.
Also, if you have any problems with anything quite happy to talk you through it via email,
