Sage accoonting, Sage ACT and ODBC

I have attempted to search the forum to see if there have been previous topics, but did not see anything... so please forgive me if I am asking a 'common' question.

I worked with a client recently who uses Sage Instant Access and Sage ACT, for their accounting and client management respectfully.  What i would really like to be able to do is create a simple system where I can export data from ACT and import relative data to Sage.  I am aware that there are ad-on peices of software that will do this, however, I beleive this should be possible using Excel and ODBC.

My main problem at the moment is that I have not worked with ACT in much details before, and so although I have been able to extract the data from the tables within the system, I cannot seem to find a common field within the tables (i.e between the 'Contact' table to the 'Activity' table.

Does anyone have any information regarding ACT and how the tables map together?  Is there any ACT experts in here?

Thanks guys.

Alison
