Hi

When claiming bad debt relief is the net amount of the bad debt added to box 7?

HMRC website suggests you use box 4. I know some that do use box 7 but HMRC do not specifically advise to. Sonya

Thanks.  I should have rephrased my original question.  The VAT part of the bad debt is added to box 4 but I'm wondering about the non VAT part of the debt.  Is that part added to box 7.

My answer is still the same :)))). Just use box 4.

Thanks for the advice.  Everything now running smoothly on the VAT reports on SAGE.
