Hi Sage 77,

I have found this on HMRC website that my help you. It says meals are claimable if you stay out overnight on business but any other meals are not claimable.

Hi,

I have just taken on my first CIS subcontractor client, while doing his bookkeeping I came across dozens of food receipts.

What are the rules for claiming food expenses for subcontractor's on their SA?

Besides the fact that tax is deducted from the subcontractor is there anything else different from the way they are treated to other self employed individual?

Thanks for your advice!
