What are YOUR reasons for wanting to change from Sage to Quickbooks?

My reason dont seem to be good enough....i find it more user friendly, emailing reports, inv, receipt, etc, more reports - bugets, cashflow projector, forecasting, can compile a specific report, can use multiple currencies, time tracking, multiple companies

any good?

How about cost? have you compared the two products and presented this?

Has your accountant used Quickbooks or are they familiar with it?

P.S Welcome to the forum Karen.

Neil.

Thank you Neil,

yes it was cheaper to buy QB than upgrade Sage but his answer there is "why does it need to be upgraded?"... he does use it for other companies... i think Sage just has a very strong following and people are afraid of change...I've been using QB for 6 years and barely use Sage, i find it hard to find things and where they go, i suppose im just not as knowlegable on Sage as QB, i also find it very 'accountant speak' for us non-accountants lol but if im doing the accounts i need to be comfortable and sure of myself in what i am doing.

I believe QB is cheaper, the new reports on the Accountant 2013 package is just brilliant, I don't know how it compares to Sage 50 as I only have old versions of Sage instants that I use.

I expect its because hes never used it before.

Hit him with efficiency then lol.

Tell him you will be X% more efficient and productive.

Although i think you may have lost this battle before it began. Some people are happy with the 'if it aint broke, don't fix it'

rule.

Good luck.

Neil.
