I have interview on Monday so can do with a bit of advice please. It is all round management accountancy role with resposbility of preparing quarterly management accounts, for submission to the bank as part of a loan covenant, along with other day to day bookkeeping (entering purchase invoices, bank recs, payroll maitenance etc). They have an accountancy practise who review their accounts prior to sending them to bank. I am slightly worried about the question "tell me about yourself" or "tell us what you at your current role". I have been given the feedback in past that I need to give more examples of my experience. I am not sure what they mean so please give me guidance/advice how should I approach this question. Below is an extract from CV to give you idea of what I do at my current job.

Duties
·All aspects of purchase ledger including coding, inputting, payment runs and resolving backlog of queries.
·Dealing with sales, purchase and bank transaction denominated in foreign currency.
·Bank reconciliations for sterling, dollar and euro account.
·Solely responsible for intercompany cash book reconciliations and recharges.
·Responsible for maintaining fixed asset register.
·Maintenance and posting of monthly accruals and prepayments.
·Posting any necessary month end journals to ensure tidy and accurate trail balance.
·Preparation of monthly management accounts.
·Month end variance analysis to determine causes of adverse and favourable performances.
·Quarterly Vat returns including vat control reconciliation and filing to HM Revenue & Customs.
·Submitting of EC sales list to HMRC quarterly.
·Key role in preparation of annual projections including cash flow projections.
·Responsible for performing year end procedures including yearend accounts closure, assisting auditors with queries and processing any necessary audit adjustments.
·Liaising with various external parties such as bank, customers and suppliers. I also represent accounts department at board meetings.
