Accountex 2012 - what a success!
Permalink Closed

Hi all

Just a quick note to thank Mark for coming to say hello on Thursday & Friday at the Accountex 2012 exhibition, it really was a good event and I wish I had time to walk around and see the seminars that were going on.

Approaching 4,000 people visited the Accountex exhibition over the 2 days and feedback from Bookkeepers, Accountants and FD's was very positive.

Hope Mark felt the same after his 2 long days there. Good effort making the trip down from Scotland... Hope you like the Optegra key and get chance to try OptegraMRP soon

The next one is in June 2013 at London eXcel (good marketing opportunity for us being Excel developers...) and we have re-booked already.

It is being run alongside a small business and Sales director exhibition which was also very impressive, perfect for new businesses and for people to understand the impact Social Media (love it or hate it, it does work..) is having. Not just for your business, I am very confident you will find aspects which will benefit your clients also

Loads of new Optegra fans who were amazed at the ease, speed and quality of reports we can generate in less than 30 seconds.

Quickbooks next on the radar for some Optegra integration along for with some of the Online offerings, so watch this space!

Thanks again Mark - it was really nice of you to come and say hello and take a closer look at what we do.

Jeremy

Hi Jeremy

Good to meet with you.

Found the 2 days enjoyable with lots of good insight to various software options that are out there at the moment.

Not had a chance to look at your key yet but will do so over the next few weeks.

Your package looks clever and is something will certainly consider once I have a sufficient number of management account clients who could benefit from it.

How much is your package?  Forgot to ask the basic question.

Regards

Mark

Hi Mark

Thanks for the comment on our application, please do feel free to use it in as many clients who you think may benefit from the reports. There is a months free use after the webinar for you to test it with your clients.

If not now, then at least you know what is possible if a potential client asks for better reports and business intelligence..

The cost is £495 annually, this includes all updates and support via phone and email (and you can use it on as many companies as you need - no limit.)

Everyone who has used OptegraMRP has renewed which is testament to its value...

Thanks

Jeremy

Hi Jeremy

Dont have enough clients to justify that price but if was doing say 20 sets of management accounts a month then the cost would be a no brainer as compared to what your software does.

Will be in touch should I ever reach the 20 sets a month.

Regards

Mark

No problem - though you pretty sure you would be able to get a return on investment with just one client...

Not sure what you are meaning Jeremy??

For it to be worth my while using then I would need to probably have about 20 -30 clients who I was producing regular management accounts for so that the reports would give them added value which they would be willing to pay for.

Regards

Mark

Hi Mark

Just based on the fee levels our clients are achieving on offering management accounts alone, one clients fee income would easily cover the cost of the investment of OptegraMRP

Add into this the opportunity for consulting and advising businesses whilst discussing their management information then the fee levels could be significant (again as they are proving to be)

We do also have a client who offers it for free to their clients as it protects his client base from other firms who don't use it. This also has the benefit of him having some edge over the local competition and is winning business because of it.

The reports and value add opportunity are worth something to the right client. I am aware that not every client will want / need this level of info, but those that do, will pay for more than £75 a year for it (using your 20 client example).

nb. calculation based on £495 cost x 3 (standard overhead, wage, profit split ) / 20 clients = £74.25

When you factor in the time savings it generates also then we know 1 paying client will more than cover the cost.

Hope that helps explain our thoughts on this.

Thanks

Jeremy

Hi Jeremy

Understand where you are coming from but none of my clients are big enough that they would pay for it.

Will have a look at the key you gave me to see what it shows and as said will consider further down the line where doing enough management accounts and big enough management accounts to justify cost.

Hope you got plenty of new business out of the 2 days.

Regards

Mark
