Starting sage in a middle of financial year
Permalink Closed

Hi

Our company switched to Sage 50 in October with Financial year started in May. As I was new to company to familarise myseld with fainaces of the business I entered all the accounts payble up to date manually (yes it took a while!). I do not want to explain a lot just say I wasn't asked to enter receivables up untill from Jan 13. My question is can I enter o/b's on 31 Dec12 and then take from there. Thanks a lot

As long as you have something to reconcile to then you can enter at any time. Dont forget you will need to make sure all debtors/creditors balance along with your bank, depreciation etc.
All o/b will go to 9998 a/c so keep an eye on this account to make sure eventually £0
